Taekwondo Poom / Dan Examiner Course

1. PURPOSE

It aims to establish standard of the Examiner qualification for the Poom·Dan Promotion Test, to operate the Poom·Dan Promotion test and to judge fairly and effectively under the rules and regulations of the Promotion Test.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION

1) The overview of Examiner for Poom·Dan Promotion Test Course.

2) Purpose

To contribute to fair promotion evaluation and Taekwondo skills development by selecting competent committee members through strict testing, after providing Taekwondo coaches for instructions on regulations, score keeping and practice on Poomsae promotion.

3) Aim

  • -Knowledge on score keeping as a committee member for Poomsae Promotion
  • -Motivate a sense of mission and improve the quality as a committee member for Poomsae Promotion

4) Course period

3 days 24 hours (8hours per day)

5) Curriculum

The Examiner Course is a 24 hours program that embraces a wide rang of topic, composed of 2 themes Taekwondo Theories(Rules and regulation for Promotion Test) and Practical training (Method of Judging, Poomsae).

Theme 1 Taekwondo theory (8 hours)

Rules for Poom Dan Promotion Test (2 hours)

Regulation for Poom Dan Promotion Test (2 hours)

Method of the Judging (4 hours)
Theme 2 Taekwondo Practical (10 hours)

Explanation of terminology (2 hours)

Taekwondo Color Belt Poomsae (4 hours)

Taekwondo Black Belt Poomsae (4 hours)
Theme 3 Special lecture (2 hours)

The qualification of the Examiner for Promotion (2 hours)

3. QUALIFICATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

Qualification Course (License)

1) 1st Class Course

  • -Holder of Kukkiwon 8th Dan Certificate with 2nd Class Master Certificate or, Holder of Kukkiwon 9th Dan Certificate and Master Certificate (Issue Date prior 1996).

2) 2nd class Course

  • -Holder of the Kukkiwon 6th Dan with 2nd class Master Certificate

3) 3rd class Course

  • -Holder of the Kukkiwon 4th Dan(at least 21years old) with permanent residence or citizenship in his staying country and 3rd class Master Certificate

Refresher Course

  • -The holder of Examiner certificate wants to learn new updated techniques and Regulation of Promotion Test again
