International Taekwondo Master Course

1. OBJECTIVE

The ultimate goal is to strengthen the qualifications of Taekwondo masters by disseminating a standardized and accurate Taekwondo curriculum worldwide, systematizing Kukkiwon techniques, and contributing to the global expansion of Taekwondo.

2. OVERVIEW

1) Overview of the International Taekwondo Master Course (1st, 2nd, and 3rd class)

2) Purpose:

  • -To cultivate leadership and strengthen the professional competence of Taekwondo masters, thereby contributing to the advancement of Taekwondo and the delivery of high-quality instruction.

3) Aims:

  • -To develop practical competence as a Taekwondo master
  • -To strengthen professional commitment and instructional competence

4) Duration:

  • -5 days, 40 hours (8 hours per day)

5) Target Audience:

  • -Experienced and aspiring Taekwondo instructors and masters, as well as Taekwondo administrators seeking to promote and develop Taekwondo in their respective countries.

6) Curriculum:

  • -The International Taekwondo Master Course is a 40-hour program covering four core areas: Taekwondo Theory (history and teaching methods), Taekwondo Practical Training (poomsae and gyeorugi), Self-Defense Training, and Special Lectures by renowned Taekwondo masters.

- Rules and Regulations of the Promotion Test (2 hours)

Subject 2. Taekwondo Practical Skills (24 hours)

- Color-Belt Poomsae (8 hours)

- Black-Belt Poomsae (8 hours)

- Gyeorugi (8 hours)

Subject 3. Special Lecture (6 hours)

- Terminology and Basic Techniques (4 hours)

- Taekwondo Demonstration and Breaking (2 hours)

Subject 4. Special Lecture (4 hours)

- Taekwondo Instructor Qualifications (2 hours)

- Taekwondo Cultural Values (2 hours)

3. PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY

Qualification Course (Certified)

1) 1st Class Course

  • -Individuals who hold a Kukkiwon 8th Dan and a 2nd Class Master Certificate, or a Kukkiwon 9th Dan and a Master Certificate issued before 1996.

2) 2nd class Course

  • -Individuals who hold a Kukkiwon 6th Dan and a 3rd Class Master Certificate.

3) 3rd class Course

  • -Individuals who hold a Kukkiwon 4th Dan and are at least 18 years old.

4) Re-examination Course

  • -Participants who completed the regular course (1st to 3rd Class) but did not pass.

Diploma Course (Non-certified)

  • -Individuals who hold a Kukkiwon 2nd or 3rd Dan and are at least 18 years old.
  • *Participants who successfully complete the course will become eligible for the Kukkiwon Master Certificate upon promotion to 4th Dan. This requires the submission of the necessary documents, payment of additional fees, and an application to the WTA.
