International Taekwondo Master Course

1. OBJECTIVE

The ultimate goal is to enhance Master qualifications by globally disseminating accurate and standardized Taekwondo curriculum, consolidating Kukkiwon techniques, and contributing to the global expansion of Taekwondo by unifying skills and techniques.

2. OVERVIEW

1) Overview of the International Taekwondo Master Course (1st, 2nd, 3rd class)

2) Purpose:

  • -To foster leadership and enhance the quality of Taekwondo masters, contributing to innovation in Taekwondo skills and promoting student well-being and physical education.

3) Aims:

  • -Cultivate practical competency as a Taekwondo master
  • -Enhance vocational motivation and quality as a Taekwondo master

4) Duration:

  • -5 days, 40 hours (8 hours per day)

5) Target Audience:

  • -Experienced and emerging Taekwondo Instructors or Masters, as well as Taekwondo administrators interested in advancing and enhancing Taekwondo in their respective countries.

6) Curriculum:

  • -The International Taekwondo Master Course is a 40-hour program covering a broad range of topics, including four main themes: Taekwondo Theories (History, Teaching), Taekwondo Practical Training (Poomsae, Gyeorugi), Techniques Training (Self-defense), and Special Lectures (featuring Taekwondo Grand Masters).

- Taekwondo Instruction studying

- Taekwondo courtesy (2 hours)

- Taekwondo Spirit and History (2 hours)

- Rules and regulations of Promotion Test (2 hours)

Subject 2 Taekwondo Practical (24 hours)

- Color belt Poomsae (8 hours)

- Black belt Poomsae (8 hours)

- Gyeorugi (8 hours)

Subject 3 Special Lecture (6 hours)

- Terminology and Basic technique (4 hours)

- Taekwondo demonstration and breaking (2 hours)

Subject 4 Special Lecture (4 hours)

- The Qualifications Taekwondo instructor (2 hours)

- Taekwondo cultural values (2 hours)

3. PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY

Qualification Course (Certified)

1) 1st Class Course

  • -Individuals holding the Kukkiwon 8th Dan with a 2nd Class Master Certificate, or individuals holding the Kukkiwon 9th Dan with a Master Certificate (issued before 1996).

2) 2nd class Course

  • -Individuals holding the Kukkiwon 6th Dan with a 3rd Class Master Certificate.

3) 3rd class Course

  • -Individuals holding the Kukkiwon 4th Dan and aged over 18.

4) Re-examination Course

  • -Participants who were disqualified after completing the regular course (1st to 3rd class).

Diploma Course (Non-certified)

  • -Individuals holding the Kukkiwon 2nd or 3rd Dan and aged over 18.
  • *Participants who successfully complete the course will be eligible for the Kukkiwon Master Certificate upon promotion to the Kukkiwon 4th Dan. This requires submission of necessary documents, additional fees, and application to WTA.
